Questions about the list
Why do I have to confirm?
So nobody can sign you up but you. A form only asks; you join when you open the link we email to that address. The link works once, for 7 days, and if you did not ask for it you can simply ignore it.
What do you keep, and for how long?
Your email address, which products you picked, whether you ticked the news, the page you signed up on, when you signed up and confirmed, the network (IP) address each came from, the wording you agreed to and the language it was shown in. That last part is the record that you asked, which Canada's anti-spam law requires us to keep. We keep it while you are on the list. If you unsubscribe we keep only a note that you left, so you are not emailed again by mistake. To have your address and its record erased completely, reply to any of our emails and ask. What do you count?
For each email: whether our mail service took it, whether a link in it was clicked, and, when your mail app loads pictures, whether it was opened. We use these counts only to see what people find useful.
How do I unsubscribe?
Every email we send has an unsubscribe link at the bottom, and many mail apps show their own unsubscribe button for our emails too. One click and it stops at once.
Will you send me spam, or sell my address?
No. You get what you picked and nothing else: one email per product when it opens, and the news only if you ticked it. Your address is never sold or shared. The only other company that handles it is the service that sends our email.
Can I change what I picked?
Yes: sign up again with the same address and pick more. We email you a link to confirm the change, the same way. To stop everything, unsubscribe from any email.
Is this a pre-order?
No. Nothing is sold and nothing is charged. When a product opens you decide then, in the shop.
