The Ridgewake app and your account are free, with no ads. Ridgewake Plus adds directions, trails, the 3D replay and more. Each logger comes with a year of Plus. Only the Tracking edition's live map has a data plan, because it talks over the mobile network.

A year of Plus is included with each logger (loggers are not on sale yet). It starts when the logger is claimed to your account, and each logger adds its own year, so two loggers give two years. A year comes once per logger: claiming it again adds nothing.
How Ridgewake Plus works
- Buy it in the app, through the App Store or Google Play. The price the app shows is the store's, in your currency and with your taxes.
- The 7-day free trial is for the yearly plan, once per person. Cancel before it ends and you are not charged.
- It renews by itself at the end of each year or month until you cancel. Cancel any time in your App Store or Google Play subscriptions (the app's Manage subscription opens the page); it stays on until the end of the time paid for.
- A new phone: sign in with the same account and press Restore Purchases.
- Ridgewake codes (RW-XXXX-XXXX) from the Ridgewake shop each add their time to the account they are redeemed on, after any Plus time it already has. Redeem one in the app (Settings) or on your account page here.
- If Plus ends, nothing is deleted: your drives, trips and trails stay, and the free features keep working.

How the Tracking data plan works
- Three months come with it. They start the first day your Tracking edition reports from your account, so a box waiting in a drawer does not use them up.
- Then pay monthly by card, from your account, on Stripe's own secure page. It renews by itself, and you can change or stop it from your account at any time.
- A reminder 7 days before the plan runs out, if it is not set to renew.
- 7 days' grace after it runs out: the live map keeps working while you renew.
- Then its mobile data is switched off, so nothing is charged for it. The live map, the theft alert and the geofences stop; the logger keeps recording, and drives keep arriving over Wi-Fi and through your phone.
- Pay again and it is switched back on.
